Willow Platters – February 2020
Thu 6th February 2020 @ 10:00 - 16:30| £75
with Debbie Hall
Thursday 6th February | 10.00 – 16.30 | £60
This course is a fabulous first introduction to weaving with willow.
You will use a simple traditional catalan technique and locally grown organic willow to make these lovely platters and trays.
The frame of each platter is formed of a willow circle; a great thing to know how to make as you can also turn them into wreaths!
The basic platters make fabulous serving trays, and trivets. You will also be shown how to adapt the method to make display baskets and hanging bird tables.
During this day course you can expect to make at least two platters or a platter and a display basket/bird table. If you turn out to be a speedy worker, or like your platters petite, you may well go home with quite a bit more!
All tools and materials, tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided but please remember to bring a packed lunch.
This workshop is suitable for all levels of experience; beginners or those who want to refresh their skills.
