with Paula Armstrong
Saturday 18th – Sunday 19th September 2021 | 10.00-16.00 | £135
Tapestry weaving is a colourful and tactile method of creating a beautiful and unique textile. Paula will introduce you to tapestry weaving structure, vocabulary and processes using a simple wooden frame. You will learn how to use the colour wheel to blend yarns and create a small, textured and decorative piece of work. Having two days you will be able to really explore the different shapes and techniques and produce a longer woven piece.
All tools and materials are provided as well as tea, coffee and biscuits but please bring your own lunches. you will be invited to bring your own yarns to incorporate into your piece.
No previous experience is required.
Please note that this is woven tapestry, not sewing/embroidered tapestry.
