with Paula Armstrong
Saturday 19th June 2021 | 10.00-16.00 | £75
Tapestry weaving is a colourful and tactile method of creating a beautiful and unique textile. Paula will introduce you to tapestry weaving structure, vocabulary and processes using a simple wooden frame.
This relaxed and fun taster day will demonstrate the basics of tapestry weaving. By the end of the day you will have woven a small textured sample in colours of your choice, unique to each participant.
This course should be of particular interest to those considering a 6 week Tapestry Weaving course with Paula in the future. It’s a super opportunity to find out what it is all about before committing to the the full exploration!
No previous experience is required.
Please note that this is woven tapestry, not sewing/embroidered tapestry.
All tools and materials are provided but you will need to bring your own packed lunch and refreshments.
