Mini Makers – Glass Fusing | The Fantastic Sea
with Jill Fordham
***It is likely that we will move this course to May half term instead. Please email us to express your interest. email@example.com***
Ages 8+ | Thursday 9th April 2020 | 10.30 – 12.00 | £35
Dream about the amazing sea, the creatures living in it and the things you love about it. Use this as inspiration to create your own colourful glass picture. On this course children learn to safely cut and arrange glass and kiln friendly materials to make small decorative tiles. They can be figurative pictures or abstract pieces, as creative as they like! Goggles, gloves, masks and extra supervision will be provided as needed.
All materials and equipment are included in the price.
Pieces made on this course will need to be fired in our kiln. This is a long process so will not be completed during the day. Participants will be invited to collect their pieces at a future date, this may be a number of weeks from the course date due to kiln space.
Suitable for ages 8+
If you have younger children that also need entertaining we are within walking distance of the Zoo and Spotted Giraffe soft play area so you can leave the big-little ones with us and head over there! We are also within walking distance of the Linton Kitchen if you need a good coffee and cake!
We do have our own lovely kitchen where refreshments will be available by donation if parents need to stay.
