Glass Fusing & Slumping

with Jill Fordham

Saturday  9th May 2020 | 10.00 – 16.00 each day | £70

This form of glass fusing uses moulds to create small shallow bowls and plate shaped glass pieces, 10-15 cm sq.

Create your own designs by layering and placing different glass forms together with other materials. You will focus on making tiles with two types of glass and using colour these will then be put on moulds to shape tiles into dishes and on creating relief pictures.

Use of tools and all materials are included in the cost and the course is suitable for all levels of participant.

Pieces made on this course will need to be fired in our kiln. This is a long process so will not be completed during the day. Participants will be invited to collect their pieces at a future date, this may be a number of weeks from the course date due to kiln space.

Read all about our tutor Jill Fordham on the Cambridge Art Makers’ course tutors page.

Tea, coffee and biscuits provided but please bring packed lunches.

Please note that although this course is in our downstairs workshop, our kitchen and toilets are on the first floor up 1 flight of stairs. If this is going to pose a problem for you please email us at cambridgeartmakers@gmail.com
