With Sheila R McDoanld
The aim of the workshop is to cover basic enamelling skills and to show how colour, texture and design ideas can be interpreted in enamel.
Following a demonstration of the preparation and firing of enamels, the group will work on a series of small test pieces on copper. Throughout the course there will be further demonstrations on specific techniques. This is a fine enamelling course and Sheila will cover the washing and grinding of enamels in preparation for wet packing, which allows much more scope for controlled and detailed work. It will also be possible to work on silver in the afternoon to create a pair of unique earrings.
The workshop is suitable for beginners and for those who already have some experience.
There will be tea, coffee and biscuits available but please bring a packed lunch.
